How it works
An applicator cools the selected fat layer while protecting the skin surface. The affected fat cells are gradually processed by the body, so changes develop over time.
Treatment areas
- Abdomen
- Applicator fit and pinchable fat are assessed. CoolSculpting does not address the deeper visceral fat around internal organs.
- Flanks
- A plan can consider fat around the waist and flanks. The number of cycles depends on the area and applicator fit.
- Thighs
- Selected inner or outer thigh pockets may be considered after an assessment of fat distribution and skin condition.
- Under chin & arms
- Smaller areas need an appropriate applicator and individual assessment. The clinician confirms whether cooling is suitable.
What happens at my appointments?
- Consultation
Assess the fat pocket, skin and applicator fit. Discuss alternatives, cold-related medical conditions and the full risk profile.
- Your session
The applicator draws in the selected tissue and cools it. Treatment time depends on the area, device and cycle plan.
- After treatment
Redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness and numbness can occur. Follow the aftercare advice and contact the clinic about concerns.
- Your review
Changes develop gradually over the following months. A review helps assess response and whether any further treatment is appropriate.
Is it a weight-loss treatment?
No. It is intended for selected pockets of subcutaneous fat. It does not treat obesity or the visceral fat around internal organs.
Will I need more than one cycle?
Possibly. A cycle treats an area with a particular applicator. Your consultation establishes the areas, cycle plan and review timing before you decide.
Suitability & considerations
Rare complications include paradoxical adipose hyperplasia: the treated fat enlarges instead of reducing and may need surgery. Cooling is unsuitable for certain cold-related conditions. Full screening and consent are essential.

A LITTLE MORE CLARITY
Your questions.
Answered.
A better understanding makes it easier to take your next step.
Ask us at your consultationWhat do you mean by natural-looking results?
Our aim is to support your own features and proportions. The collection uses energy-based treatments to stimulate tissue responses or target selected areas. These are medical aesthetic procedures, with different benefits, limitations and risks.
Are all the treatments needle-free?
Sofwave, EMFACE, EMSCULPT NEO, CoolSculpting and EMTONE work without treatment needles. Morpheus8 is different: it uses microneedles to deliver radiofrequency and needs a planned recovery period.
Which treatment should I start with?
Start with your priorities. Skin firmness, muscle tone, localised fat and texture involve different approaches. Your consultation considers your anatomy, medical history and expectations before recommending a treatment, or advising against one.
Can I fit a visit around my working day?
The clinic is directly opposite the Old Broad Street entrance of Liverpool Street station. Some treatment sessions are around 20–30 minutes, but allow extra time for preparation and consultation. Recovery varies by treatment; we’ll help you plan.
Will I see an immediate change?
Many of these treatments rely on gradual changes in tissue. Improvement can develop over weeks or months, and some plans involve a course of sessions. We agree a realistic review point at your consultation; results cannot be guaranteed.
What happens after I register?
Your consultation request is saved for our patient team to review. We’ll contact you using the details you provide to arrange a suitable time. Submitting the form does not confirm an appointment or commit you to treatment.
